Peugeot 207 Engine Stalling Rough Idle

Hi, I have a 2006 Peugeot 207, gasoline engine, with 96706 km. Recently, the engine has been running rough, and it stalls sometimes when idling. Also, the check engine light comes on, and it jerks when accelerating. I suspect it might be a defective ignition coil, maybe a bad connection. Any ideas?

I had similar symptoms with my 207. Check the coil pack; coil failure is quite common. A misfire can cause all those issues.

Yes, the check engine light was indeed illuminated. I would advise you to get the error diagnosed in a workshop. In my case, the cable or plug connection of the component was defective and it resulted in a repair bill of approximately 95€.
