Peugeot 207 Engine Start Problem

I'm having trouble with my 2008 Peugeot 207 with a gasoline engine. The engine won't start. I suspect the battery cable connections, but could it be an ECU failure or fuel injection problem?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Peugeot 207. Does the engine crank at all, or is it completely dead? Could be the ECU. Before you jump to conclusions, check the basics. Any recent work done, or did it just happen out of the blue?

The engine does crank, so it's not completely dead. No recent work has been done; the issue arose suddenly. I'm concerned about an ECU issue or a potential engine surge problem. Could you elaborate on your experience with the ECU and whether you encountered similar symptoms?

Yeah, mine cranked too. Turned out to be some weirdness with the engine software. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself. Take it to a workshop, they'll diagnose it properly.

I took your advice and visited a local workshop. There was a problem with the engine software requiring a reflash and recalibration. The total repair cost was 155€. I appreciate your assistance!
