Peugeot 207 Fuel Level Sensor Issue

The error code was quite specific, something like "Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction". I filled up the tank about a week ago. I don't think it's a bad batch of fuel, as I've used the same gas station for years. Is there anything else I should check before taking it to a mechanic? Did you have to replace the sensor in the end?

Yep, that code sounds like the sensor itself. In my case, the sensor was faulty. Given the age of our cars, it's not uncommon. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a reputable workshop. Messing with the fuel system yourself can be risky, especially if you're not familiar with it. It's probably best to leave it to the pros.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were right - the fuel level sensor was faulty. They replaced it, and the check engine light is now off. The error is gone, and the stalling issue seems to be resolved. The repair cost me 52€.

I had a similar issue with my 207. Same symptoms - check engine light and stalling. Did the error code specifically point to the fuel level sensor, or was it more generic like a fuel system issue? Also, when did you last fill up the tank? Sometimes a bad batch of fuel can cause weird sensor readings.
