Peugeot 207 Gear Shift Indicator Failure

My 2015 Peugeot 207 diesel is acting up. The gear shift indicator is dead, and I can't select a gear. It's like the car doesn't know what I'm trying to do. I also see gearbox slips/shifts uncleanly, and grinding noises appear when shifting gears. Mileage is at 142550 km. Could it be the control unit?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my 207. Was it also showing an error in the memory?

Yeah, there's an error stored, but I didn't write it down. Did you manage to fix it yourself?

I took mine straight to the workshop. It's probably the control unit as you said. Best to get it checked properly.

I got it booked in. It was indeed the control unit, and it cost me around 1000€ to get sorted. Thanks for the help!
