Peugeot 207 Intake Air Temperature Sensor Issue

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2008 Peugeot 207 (gasoline engine). The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine feels like it's lost power. I ran a diagnostics check and it's showing an error related to the intake air temperature. I've also noticed the engine idles a bit rough. Mileage is at 250537 km. Could it be a faulty IAT sensor?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 207. Check engine light, rough running, the whole shebang. If the diagnostic is pointing to the IAT sensor, that's probably it. Has it always been like this or did it just start?

It started happening recently, a couple of weeks ago. The car was running fine before. The diagnostics says intake air temperature sensor defective. Was it the same for you? What did you do to fix it?

Yep, same error code. I messed around with it for a bit, but honestly, just took it to a workshop. They replaced the sensor and the problem was solved. Cost around 150€ if I remember correctly. Probably best to get it sorted professionally.

Thanks for the info! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the IAT sensor. Sounds like it's the most likely culprit and not worth messing with myself. I got a quote for 155€, so your estimate was pretty spot on.
