Peugeot 207 power steering issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Peugeot 207 experienced power steering issues, including vibrations, spongy handling, and intermittent heaviness, possibly due to a defective cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by addressing a faulty connection causing intermittent power loss to the steering system. The suggested solution was to have the vehicle checked at a workshop to pinpoint and fix the connection, which successfully restored normal steering function.

Fighting the wheel sometimes, yes, exactly! When you had a similar problem, what was the root cause?

In my case, it was a faulty connection. It was causing intermittent power loss to the steering system. Definitely get it checked at a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact connection and fix it. Could save you a lot of money compared to replacing the whole steering rack or pump.

Thanks, I'll do that. Took it to the workshop, faulty connection indeed. Replaced it, cost me 95€. Steering feels normal again.

I had similar issues with my 207. Does it feel like you're fighting the wheel sometimes? Check the easy things first: wheel alignment, look at the pressure hose. It could be the steering rack or even the steering pump, but I'd start with the simple stuff.
