Peugeot 207 Radar Sensor Failure

Radar sensor on my 2009 Peugeot 207 diesel seems to have stopped working. Getting an error message and the error memory has stored a fault, causing failures in other systems. Warning light is constantly on. Read it might be a dirty sensor. Anyone experienced this? Could a dirty sensor cause all these problems?

I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane, though it wasn't exactly the same. I had a parking sensor issue that caused a cascade of weird errors. Was your Peugeot recently cleaned, or did you drive through a puddle lately? Maybe that interfered with the sensor.

That's interesting! No, I haven't cleaned it recently, but it did rain a lot last week. Could water really mess with the radar sensor like that? If it's just dirty, can I clean it myself, or should I take it to a shop?

Yeah, water definitely caused my issues! It might be worth checking the sensor connections, but honestly, with all those errors popping up, a workshop might be the safest bet. They can properly diagnose it and make sure it's not something more serious.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were right it was just a dirty sensor! They cleaned it, cleared the error codes, and everything is working fine now. Cost me 45€, which is way better than I was expecting!
