Peugeot 207 starting stalling issues

Hi, I have a 2009 Peugeot 207 (gasoline engine) that's giving me trouble. It won't start sometimes, stalls at idle, and the check engine light is on. It also seems to be running rough and using more fuel than usual. I read the error memory and there's an error stored. Any ideas?

Well, those symptoms could point to a few things, but given they all appeared at once, it sounds like the fuel system. Think of it like a water faucet that's sputtering – could be low pressure, a clog, or something else entirely. Have you noticed any difference in performance recently, like a lack of power when accelerating?

Yeah, it does feel like it's struggling a bit when I try to accelerate quickly. What exactly do you mean by 'fuel system'?

By 'fuel system', I am referring to the components responsible for delivering fuel to the engine. Considering the error code, rough running, and starting issues, there's a strong possibility of a defective fuel pump or a fault in its electrical connections. However, without a thorough diagnostic process, it is difficult to ascertain the root cause of the problem with absolute certainty. It would be prudent to have a workshop perform diagnostics.

Thanks for the help. Took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out to be a loose connector on the fuel pump. They cleaned and secured it, and it's running fine now. Total cost: 95€.
