Peugeot 207 Sun Blind Issue

My 2009 Peugeot 207, diesel engine, is giving me grief with the sun blind. It's done 63773 km. Basically, it's stuck. Won't retract or extend, just sits there. Plugged it into diagnostics and it's throwing up an error code related to the blind. My gut feeling is the motor's packed it in. Anyone else seen this?

Yeah, I've encountered similar issues. When you say it's stuck, is there any noise coming from the motor when you try to operate it, or is it completely silent? Also, did the error code point to anything specific beyond just a general sun blind fault?

Good shout. Completely silent, no noise whatsoever. The error code was fairly generic, pointing towards a fault in the sunblind motor circuit. I've checked the fuse, and that seems fine. Any thoughts?

Right, silent motor and fuse is okay. Given your mileage and the error code, I'd stick with your initial assessment of the motor itself being the culprit. I would take it to a trusted workshop. I had a similar issue with my previous car, and attempting a DIY repair ended up costing me more in the long run.

Cheers, appreciate the advice. I suspected as much. Bit the bullet and booked it into a local garage. They confirmed it was the motor and replaced the whole unit. Cost me 330€ all in. Annoying, but at least it's sorted.
