Peugeot 207 Sunroof Error

Hi, I'm encountering a strange issue with my 2009 Peugeot 207 (gasoline engine). The sunroof is throwing an initialization error. The sunblind is stuck, and the convertible top is completely unresponsive. Initially, the sunblind would retract and extend, but not anymore. I suspect it might be related to some coding that was recently carried out on the vehicle. Has anyone experienced something similar, and could provide insights on sunroof troubleshooting, mechanism operation, or control?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar sunroof problem with my old BMW 3 Series. The symptoms were a bit different, but the electronics were definitely acting up. Did you check the fuses?

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, I checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. Was the issue on your BMW also related to coding, or did it have a different root cause? Any further details would be greatly appreciated.

In my case, it was indeed a coding issue. I'd suggest going to a workshop to have them check the coding and reinitialize the sunroof system. Seems like the most logical thing to do.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop as you suggested. They recoded the sunroof system and that resolved the initialization error. Cost me 75€. Appreciate the help!
