Peugeot 207 Windshield Wipers Failure

I've got a 2015 Peugeot 207 diesel with about 232,000 km. My windshield wipers have stopped. No response from the wiper switch. There's an error stored related to the wiper system. I've checked the fuse, and it seems fine. I'm suspecting it might be the wiper motor or the switch? Anyone experienced something similar?

Sounds frustrating! Does your 207 have cruise control? Sometimes the wiper stalk integrates the cruise control functions. If so, does the cruise control still work? If the cruise control doesn't work either, it could point to a more general issue with the stalk or its connections.

Good point about the cruise control! Yes, my 207 has cruise control, integrated into the wiper stalk. I hadn't thought to check that. If the cruise control is still functional, does that rule out the stalk itself, or could it still be a problem isolated to just the wiper circuit within the stalk?

If the cruise control is working, the stalk could still be the issue, but it's less likely. It suggests the main connection to the stalk is okay. A fault isolated to the wiper circuit within the stalk is possible, but less common. Given the error code and the symptoms, it's likely either a faulty connection or a defective wiper motor. If you're not comfortable diving deeper, a workshop might be the best bet to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate the tip about the cruise control – that helped narrow things down. Turns out, after taking it to a local shop, it was a corroded connector on the wiper motor harness, as suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. All good now!
