Peugeot 208 bypass valve malfunction

I'm encountering a peculiar issue with my 2022 Peugeot 208 gasoline engine. At 249020 km, the error memory indicates a bypass valve malfunction, accompanied by engine overheating. Initial diagnostics suggest this is a consequential error stemming from another, yet unidentified, fault within the exhaust system. I am trying to understand what would cause it.

That’s exactly what happened to me. I also had a slight power loss, and those symptoms are concerning. I would go to the workshop for a deep diagnostic, as there can be various causes.

Thanks, that’s helpful. Following your advice, I took it to the workshop. Turns out it was a faulty sensor causing the bypass valve to malfunction. No cost to repair as it was under warranty! Thanks for your help!
