Thanks for the input. I visually inspected the switch and wiring. Everything seems fine at first glance. Is there anything specific I should be looking for?

On my Megane, the connection looked fine too, but it was internally corroded. I'd suggest checking the voltage at the connector, or just bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They'll diagnose it quickly.

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I got it sorted at the shop. It was indeed the clutch pedal switch and a faulty connector. Cost me 95€ including diagnostics and parts.

That sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old Renault Megane. No cruise control, and the engine sometimes wouldn't crank. Have you checked the switch itself for damage?
