Peugeot 208 Electric Seat Failure

Hi, I have a 2021 Peugeot 208 gasoline with 140797 km. The passenger electric seat stopped working. I get an error in the memory, and it's impossible to adjust the seat. Could a heavily discharged battery be the issue?

Hey! I had something similar happen with my 208. The power seats are a pain. Did you check the seat harness and wiring under the seat? A loose connection can cause all sorts of problems. Is the battery light on?

Thanks for the quick reply! I've had a look at the seat wiring, but nothing obvious jumped out. I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Where exactly should I check the seat harness? And no, the battery light isn't on.

Okay, if the battery light isn't on, it might still be a power delivery issue to the seat itself. I would check the harness connection where it plugs into the seat motor. If you're not comfortable digging too deep, it might be worth a trip to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the fault.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective seat motor and a faulty harness connection, just as you suspected. Cost me 290€ to repair.
