Fuel economy seems normal, but I'm not sure. How did you figure out it was the exhaust flaps? Was it an easy fix?

I initially suspected a leak in the exhaust system, like a hole in a pipe. However, the garage checked it out and confirmed it was the exhaust flap motor that had gone kaput. Apparently, it's a fairly common issue. I'd suggest getting yours checked by a professional because messing with the exhaust system yourself can be risky. The repair was around 190€, including the new part.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the exhaust flap motor. Hopefully, it's a straightforward fix like yours was, and the cost will be similar. I appreciate you sharing your experience!

I had a similar problem with my 208. Loud exhaust, especially on startup, is a real pain, isn't it? It's like having a grumpy dragon under the hood. The error code makes me think it's definitely exhaust-related, possibly those flaps. Did you notice any change in fuel economy too?
