Yeah, I tried the key fob trick multiple times with no luck. I don't hear any noise from the lock actuator either. Where is the cable release located? Or, if there is no cable release, how can I open it manually to get access?

No cable release that I know of. Honestly, when mine went completely kaput, I ended up taking it to a workshop. Turned out to be a faulty lock actuator. Saved myself a lot of hassle. Best bet is to get it checked out.

Cheers. I appreciate the advice. I took it to the local garage, and you were spot on – faulty lock actuator. Repair cost 210€. Thanks again for confirming my suspicions!

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen on my 208. Couldn't get the fuel door open. Did you try using the key fob to unlock the car multiple times? Sometimes that worked for me, but it was a temporary fix. Is the actuator making any noise at all?
