Peugeot 208 HV System Error

Help! My 2021 Peugeot e-208 is throwing a HV system error. It's the electric version, done 59436 km. Keeps flashing a battery warning, then the engine cuts out and power drops. The error is stored in the error memory. Anyone seen this before? I'm kinda freaking out!

Whoa, sounds rough! I've got a 208 too, and had something similar happen a while back. My battery was totally dead, and the system went nuts. Was your battery heavily discharged before this started?

Yeah, that's the weird thing! It didn't seem low at all. Voltage seemed normal last time I checked... Where you getting the 'reduced engine power' message too?

Yep, reduced power, the whole shebang. Turns out, for me, it was cable damage causing a voltage sensor to throw a false positive. I'd get it checked at a workshop ASAP; could be a defective battery, or a cable fault. Get the error memory read out. Don't risk driving it too much!

Thanks! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! Seems like a chafed cable damaged the voltage sensor. Replaced the sensor and the cable; cost me 290€. Running like a dream now. Cheers for the tip!
