Peugeot 208 HV System Error
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot e-208 experienced a HV system error, with a battery warning and engine power loss. The issue was traced to a chafed cable causing a voltage sensor malfunction. The recommended solution was to have the error memory read and the vehicle checked at a workshop. The problem was resolved by replacing the damaged cable and sensor.

Yeah, that's the weird thing! It didn't seem low at all. Voltage seemed normal last time I checked... Where you getting the 'reduced engine power' message too?

Yep, reduced power, the whole shebang. Turns out, for me, it was cable damage causing a voltage sensor to throw a false positive. I'd get it checked at a workshop ASAP; could be a defective battery, or a cable fault. Get the error memory read out. Don't risk driving it too much!

Thanks! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! Seems like a chafed cable damaged the voltage sensor. Replaced the sensor and the cable; cost me 290€. Running like a dream now. Cheers for the tip!

Whoa, sounds rough! I've got a 208 too, and had something similar happen a while back. My battery was totally dead, and the system went nuts. Was your battery heavily discharged before this started?
