Yes, I got a specific error code related to the intake air temperature sensor. Are you saying the same sensor was the problem for your Opel?

Exactly! Turns out it was the intake air temperature sensor, or IAT sensor, all along. After some troubleshooting, I just gave up and went to the workshop. They confirmed it pretty quickly. Based on your symptoms and the error code, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a professional. Could save you a lot of hassle.

Thanks for the info. Took it to the workshop, and you were right. The intake air temperature sensor was defective. Repair cost was 155€. Runs like new now!

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Check engine light, power loss… nightmare. The 'intake air temperature sensor' is what the car uses to measure the temperature of the air entering the engine. The engine computer, or ECU, needs this info to properly adjust the fuel mixture. Did you get a specific error code from a car diagnostics tool?
