Peugeot 208 Overheating Electric Fan Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Peugeot 208 diesel is experiencing engine overheating, suspected to be due to a non-functioning electric fan. Initial checks for blockages and coolant levels were performed, but the fan still doesn't activate. A possible cause could be a faulty connection to the fan motor, similar to an issue experienced with another vehicle. It is suggested to inspect and possibly wiggle the cable and plug connected to the fan motor to see if it resolves the problem, or otherwise seek professional assistance.

You mean like a loose wire or something? Because that would be amazing if it's just that. But where exactly should I be wiggling? Is it hard to get to?

Exactly! Like a dodgy connection. On my Megane, the plug was right on the fan motor itself, behind the radiator. It was a pain to reach, but once I jiggled it, the fan sprang to life. Honestly, though, if you're not comfortable fiddling, a workshop checkup might be best.

I appreciate the help! I'll check the connections as you suggested. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll take it to the workshop. They said the issue was with cable or plug connection and charged 95€. Thanks again!

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, although it was a petrol. The overheating was driving me nuts! Turned out to be a dodgy connection to the fan motor. Have you looked at the cable and plug going to the fan? Worth a wiggle to see if anything happens.
