Peugeot 208 Parking Aid Failure

My 2022 Peugeot 208 diesel with 66k km has a parking aid malfunction. The display reads 'Parking assist without function,' confirmed by the error memory. The sensors look fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my 208. Check the wiring and connectors to the parking sensors first. They can corrode or come loose from road spray. Wiggle them and see if it helps. Has it been raining a lot?

Thanks for the tip! I will check the wiring. Do you mean the connectors directly at the sensors in the bumpers? Or are there other connectors I should check?

Yes, the ones at the bumper sensors. If that doesn't fix it, a sensor might be faulty, but you'd need diagnostic tools to be sure. I took mine to a workshop to avoid messing things up, and they fixed it quickly.

Thanks! I checked the connectors, but they seemed okay, so I went to a local workshop. It was a defective plug connection, as the error log suggested. Cost 95€ to fix. Appreciate the advice!
