Peugeot 208 Radar Sensor Fault

I've got a 2013 Peugeot 208 diesel with only 48617 km. The radar sensor, for the collision avoidance system, is throwing a constant error. The speedometer displays an error message, and diagnostics confirm it. It's causing other system failures and a warning light. I think it's a sensor malfunction. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my Volvo. By 'radar sensor', you mean for adaptive cruise control and collision warning, right? Mine threw errors and disabled features. Have you tried cleaning the sensor? Road grime can mess with them.

Yes, it's for the adaptive cruise control and collision warning. I hadn't thought of cleaning it. Is the sensor easy to get to, or do I need to take apart the bumper? Where is it located on the car?

On my Volvo, it was behind the front bumper, easy to reach after popping off the grille. Check your Peugeot's manual. If cleaning doesn't fix it, get a workshop to diagnose it properly.

I found the sensor, and it was dirty. Cleaning it fixed the issue! The error messages are gone, and everything's working. Cost me about 45€ for cleaning supplies. Your suggestion saved me time and money. Thanks!
