Peugeot 208 Reduced Engine Power

My 2017 Peugeot 208 diesel is showing reduced engine power. The fault code indicates an error stored in the error memory. Mileage is at 25921 km. I suspect a dodgy chip tune from a previous owner. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

I had something similar on my 208. Check the car computer first with a scan tool. It could be an issue from third-party providers mucking about with the ECU. Did your dashboard light up?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the dashboard light is on. Which fault code did your auto scanner show? Was it also related to the engine's performance?

I don't recall the exact code, but it definitely flagged an issue with the engine's performance post a suspected remap. It's best to get it checked at a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose it properly and clear any spurious error codes.

Confirmed faulty chip tuning was the cause. Workshop remapped the ECU for 180€. Runs perfectly now. Thanks for the advice!
