Peugeot 3008 Airbag Fault

My 2019 Peugeot 3008 (gasoline engine) is showing an airbag fault. The airbag warning lamp lights up. I've checked the fuses, but they seem fine. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar airbag deployment issue with my old Opel Astra. It turned out to be a dodgy connector under the seat. Have you tried checking the cable and plug connections to the airbag sensors and the restraint system control module? Could be a loose or corroded connection causing the fault.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly are these airbag sensors located? I'm not really a car expert, so any pointers would be great.

No worries! On my Astra, the main sensor was under the driver's seat. However, with different car brands, the sensors are in other places too. If you're not confident fiddling around, it's probably best to take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. Could save you a lot of hassle, and airbag systems are not something to mess with if you don't know what you are doing!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were right – defective cable or plug connection. Cost me 95€ to fix. All good now!
