Peugeot 3008 Alarm System Fault

My 2014 Peugeot 3008 diesel has a siren communication fault. The diagnostic error memory shows a stored error, and the alarm system isn't working. With 227861 km, it seems like a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen similar alarm system issues, maybe wiring problems? It's annoying to have the security system down.
