Yeah, for sure. On the Volvo, it ended up being a corroded wire in the harness going to the siren itself. A mechanic found it. Honestly, I'd suggest getting a workshop to check the wiring. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the help! A technician inspected the wiring harness and found a corroded connection. The 95€ repair fixed it, and the alarm is working again. Your advice was invaluable.

Hey, I had something similar on my old Volvo. Same symptoms - alarm just quit. Did you check all the fuses related to the alarm system? Sometimes it's just a blown fuse causing the whole headache.
