Peugeot 3008 Boost Pressure Sensor Issue

Alright, Peugeot gurus, I'm pulling my hair out here! My 2018 Peugeot 3008 diesel is acting up. The check engine light is mocking me, and it's started jerking like a bucking bronco when I accelerate. I'm also hearing a whistling noise and a loud hissing sound when I put my foot down. To top it off, the engine sometimes stalls at idle, and my fuel consumption has gone through the roof! Feels like I'm driving a tractor, with seriously reduced engine power. I'm suspecting it's the boost pressure sensor, maybe a dodgy cable or plug. Anyone else experienced this madness?

Whoa, sounds like a party of problems! I had a similar thing happen with my 3008 (can't remember the exact year). That whistling and hissing, plus the jerking, rings a bell. Have you checked all the air intake hoses for splits or cracks? It could be something simple like a vacuum leak causing the sensor to read funny. It's like trying to blow up a balloon with a hole in it – the pressure just ain't right!

Good shout! I'll definitely give the hoses a once-over. But, if it WAS the boost pressure sensor itself, what kind of craziness did you experience? Was it the same symptoms, or something totally different?

Yeah, I checked the hoses too, and they looked fine. Honestly, it was so similar to what you're describing that I'm betting it's the sensor. In the end, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They ran a diagnostic and, boom, faulty boost pressure sensor. Best to get it checked by a pro, because messing with the turbo system without knowing what you're doing could lead to bigger, wallet-emptying problems. Think of it like surgery – better to let a doctor handle it!

You were spot-on! Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the boost pressure sensor. The cable connection was defective. 95€ later, and she's running like a dream! Thanks a million for the help. Really appreciate it!
