Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot 3008 with a gasoline engine is experiencing an exhaust treatment malfunction, indicated by a warning light, rough engine performance, and a strong exhaust smell. DEF fluid seems normal. Where is the Lambda sensor located? Is it easy to check?

It's near the catalytic converter. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable with car repairs, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. A defective lambda sensor can cause serious issues, and an exhaust leak isn't something to ignore. The NOx sensors might also be involved.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed the lambda sensor. Cost me 375€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar with my 3008. Check engine light, rough running. It could be a faulty lambda sensor. Are you noticing any issues with DEF fluid levels?
