Peugeot 3008 Fault Code After Tuning

Esteemed members, I come to you with a vexing issue concerning my 2021 Peugeot 3008, gasoline engine. A fault code has emerged, and the vehicle now exhibits a lamentable reduction in engine power. The error memory, as revealed by vehicle diagnostics, confirms the presence of this unwelcome guest. I suspect this may stem from a rather ill-advised chip tuning endeavor undertaken by a third-party provider. Has anyone encountered a similar predicament? The specter of potentially exorbitant repair costs looms large, and I'm looking for ideas.

Hey, I drive a 3008 as well. Sounds like what happened to me a while back. Did the fault code show up right after the tuning, or was it later? What kind of scanner did you use to read the error?

Thank you for your swift response. The diagnostic code manifested some time after the tuning. To be precise, approximately three weeks elapsed before the engine's lamentable decline became apparent. As for the auto scanner, it was a professional-grade vehicle diagnostics unit employed by the third-party tuner.

Ah, okay. Mine threw a code almost immediately after the 'upgrade'. If it took a while, it could be something else, but honestly, it still sounds like the tuning messed something up. I'd recommend taking it to a reputable workshop for a proper check. They'll be able to tell for sure.

Your insights have been invaluable. I heeded your counsel and consulted a trusted workshop. Their assessment corroborated my initial fears: the nefarious chip tuning had, indeed, wreaked havoc. Correction of the mapping set me back a mere 180€! I extend my sincere gratitude for your assistance.
