I checked the battery voltage, it seems okay. The starter motor seems to be working normally too. I was talking about the primary ignition fuse in the engine management system. Any diagnostic procedure you would recommend?

Okay, good to know you've checked the battery and starter. If the ignition fuse is your primary suspect and you're still having these intermittent issues, it might be time to get a professional involved. Intermittent problems with modern engine management systems can be tricky to diagnose without the right tools. A workshop can properly check the ignition switch, wiring harness, and ECU for any faults. Could save you a lot of time and potential headaches.

I consulted a technician. They found a faulty ignition switch and replaced it. The repair cost 52€. The vehicle is now operating as expected. Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like a real pain! I've seen similar things crop up, especially with Peugeots of that era. The ignition switch itself can be a bit of a weak point. Before diving too deep, have you checked the basics like battery voltage and the condition of the starter motor? Also, when you say 'defective fuse,' are you referring to a specific fuse in the engine management system or just a general check of all fuses? Knowing which fuse you suspect might help narrow things down.
