Peugeot 3008 keyless access failure

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2013 Peugeot 3008 (gasoline engine). The keyless access has stopped working, and I've got an error stored in the memory. I suspect it might be a faulty door actuator or a wiring issue in the car door, but I'm not entirely sure where to start. Has anyone experienced something similar with their Peugeot 3008?

Hello! I had a similar problem with my 3008, though it was a few years back. The symptoms you describe are very familiar. In my case, it was indeed a defective cable or plug connection to the door actuator. Did you check the door actuator and locking system wiring fault?

Thanks for your reply! I haven't checked the door actuator and locking system wiring myself yet, as I'm a bit hesitant to start tearing things apart without a clearer idea of what I'm looking for. Where exactly should I be looking for these cable and plug connections? Any advice on accessing them?

While it's tempting to DIY, given my past experience, I would strongly recommend taking it to a workshop. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to trace the wiring and ended up causing more harm than good. A professional will be able to diagnose the issue accurately and repair or replace the defective components much more efficiently. They'll likely have specialized tools and diagnostic equipment that can pinpoint the exact location of the fault. You could try to fix it yourself, but consider my advice.

Thanks for the advice! I took your suggestion and brought it to a trusted workshop. You were right; it was a defective cable connection. The repair cost me 95€, which is a lot less than I feared. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction and preventing me from making things worse!
