Peugeot 3008 lean running issue

My 2017 Peugeot 3008 with a gasoline engine runs lean, like it's starving for fuel. Check engine light's on, power's down, runs rough, and jerks like crazy when I try to accelerate. Could it be the injection valves?

Sounds rough! Lean conditions can be tricky. Reduced power and jerking definitely point to a fuel issue, but let's not jump to conclusions just yet. Has anyone checked the air-fuel ratio? It could be a faulty oxygen sensor messing with the fuel trim. Also, have you looked at the throttle body? A dirty or malfunctioning one can cause all sorts of weirdness. Before blaming the injectors, might be worth a peek at the EGR valve too. Is it possible that the valve is jammed open? I'm just throwing ideas out there.

Cheers for the ideas! The oxygen sensor sounds like a reasonable explanation. How can I test the throttle body and the EGR valve?

Testing those can be a bit involved without the right tools. For the throttle body, visually inspect it first. Is it gunked up with carbon deposits? Cleaning it might help, but be careful with the electronics. The EGR valve is trickier – you'd ideally use a scan tool to see if it's operating correctly. Honestly, without proper diagnostic equipment, you're kinda shooting in the dark. Given all the symptoms, especially the lean running, it might be best to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and save you a lot of hassle. It could still be the injectors, but professional diagnosis is key.

Thanks a lot! I took it to the workshop and you were right, it was the fuel injectors. 515€ later and it runs like a charm.
