Peugeot 3008 Overheating Air Flap Issue

Experiencing a fault with the active air flaps on my 2014 Peugeot 3008 gasoline. Check engine light is on and the engine is overheating. Diagnostic scans suggest a defect in the electromechanism of the active air flaps. Anyone encountered a similar problem?

I own a Peugeot 3008 as well, and I had a similar issue a while back. The check engine light was on, and the car was running hotter than usual. Did you perform a diagnostic scan to pinpoint the exact error code? That helped me a lot.

Yes, the diagnostic scan indicated a fault specifically within the active air flap system's electromechanism. Was your diagnostic equally precise, and did it also point directly to the air flap electromechanism as the source of the overheating?

Yes, the diagnostic was pretty clear. It turned out to be the air flaps. Honestly, I'm no expert, but I would recommend taking it to a workshop. They will be able to fix it.

Based on the information, I had the vehicle inspected and repaired by a certified workshop. The issue was indeed the defective electromechanism of the active air flaps, as suspected. The repair cost totaled 590€.
