Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't tested the resistance yet. Do you know what the expected resistance range should be, or any tips on how to properly test it? I'm trying to avoid a trip to the workshop if possible.

I didn't test it myself. Just took it to the workshop and they confirmed it was the sensor. They said faulty wiring could also cause the heater element to fail. In my experience, it’s often more hassle than it’s worth trying to diagnose deeper without pro equipment. Best to just get it checked by someone who knows their trade.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll probably take it to the workshop. They quoted me about 95€ for the repair, so it shouldn't break the bank.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 3008, although I can't remember what year it was built. Check engine light and all. From what you are describing it looks like the heater element inside the oxygen sensor probably went bad. Did you try testing the sensor itself, like checking its resistance?
