Peugeot 3008 smartphone connection issues
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Peugeot 3008 owner is experiencing issues connecting their smartphone to the car's system, with an error stored in the system's memory. The problem may be due to an incorrect initial pairing between the phone and the car. A suggested solution is to delete the existing pairing and re-pair the devices. Ultimately, a visit to a workshop resolved the issue by resetting and correctly re-pairing the phone, confirming the initial pairing error as the cause.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 're-pairing,' do you mean just going through the standard Bluetooth connection process again? Or is there something specific I need to do? I'm not super tech-savvy when it comes to car electronics.

Yeah, I mean deleting the existing pairing from both your phone and the car's system. Then, start fresh like you're connecting for the first time. If that doesn't work, honestly, it might be worth a quick check at a workshop. They can usually diagnose these things pretty quickly. It could be a software glitch or something simple.

Took your advice and went to the workshop. Turns out it was an incorrect pairing, just like you suggested. They reset everything and re-paired my phone. Cost me 45€, but everything's working now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa a few years back. The 'function restrictions' thing is annoying. In my case, it turned out to be related to how the phone was initially paired with the car. Did you try deleting the device from the car's system and re-pairing it?
