Peugeot 3008 smoking on acceleration

My 2022 Peugeot 3008 hybrid is giving me grief. The check engine light is on, power is way down, and it's smoking like a chimney when I accelerate. Mileage is at 210160 km. Pretty sure it's the crankcase ventilation valve gone bad. Anyone else seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Peugeot 3008 hybrid is experiencing issues with the check engine light, reduced power, and blue smoke during acceleration. The problem is suspected to be a faulty crankcase ventilation valve. Another owner with similar symptoms confirmed that replacing the crankcase ventilation valve resolved the issue, suggesting that a professional inspection and replacement might be necessary.

Sounds familiar! I have a 3008 too, and I had similar symptoms a while back. Check engine light, sluggish acceleration, and definitely some smoke. Was the smoke blueish?

Yeah, the smoke is definitely on the bluish side. How did you figure out what was wrong? Was it definitely the crankcase ventilation?

Yep, blueish smoke pointed to the crankcase ventilation for me too. I tried a few things but ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it and sorted it out. Best to get it checked properly.

Thanks for the confirmation! I'll get it booked in. Looks like a new crankcase ventilation valve is on the cards. Quoted around 360€ so not the end of the world I guess...
