Peugeot 3008 Transmission Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot 3008 diesel exhibited an engine warning light, transmission message, slipping gearbox, rough shifting, and occasional grinding noise. These symptoms suggested a potential major issue, possibly linked to a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor and low gearbox oil level. A professional diagnostic confirmed the faulty sensor and low oil, leading to a sensor replacement and oil top-up, resolving the problem.

Yes, sometimes it does go into emergency mode. How would I check the error memory?

Emergency mode and warning lights indicate a fault needing professional diagnostics. Error memory check requires specific tools. Sounds like a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor and potentially low gearbox oil level, which is common. I'd recommend a workshop visit.

Thanks, I took it to a workshop. It was a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor, probably from low oil. They replaced the sensor and topped up the oil. The repair cost 365€. Everything seems fine now.

I had a similar issue with my 3008. Does the gearbox go into emergency mode? Did you check the error memory?
