Peugeot 3008 transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Peugeot 3008 Hybrid with 103,101 km is experiencing transmission issues, including implausible shifting, a transmission warning light, and emergency mode activation. A potential cause identified is undervoltage, which can affect the car's computer and transmission performance. The solution involved taking the car to a workshop, where they diagnosed worn-out transmission oil due to undervoltage, replaced the oil, and resolved the voltage issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Undervoltage, huh? That's interesting. I haven't checked the voltage, to be honest. Where do I even start? I don't have a code reader myself. Could that really mess with the transmission like that?

Yeah, it sounds crazy, but modern cars are so reliant on consistent voltage that even a slight dip can cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated issues. If you don't have a reader, honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the problem. In my case it was the undervoltage and I got a new battery.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to a workshop, and they found the transmission oil was worn out due to the undervoltage. They replaced the oil and fixed the undervoltage issue – cost me 240€ Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my 2018 Volvo XC60, though it was a while back. I got weird shifting and the car felt like it was stuck in a gear. Did you check the voltage of your car battery? In my case it turned out to be undervoltage and the car computer was acting strange because of it. Do you have a way to read the error codes?
