Peugeot 301 Audio System Failure

My 2023 Peugeot 301 with a gasoline engine has a completely dead audio system. No radio, no Bluetooth. Fuses are fine. Anyone else experienced this? The car has about 236k kilometers on it.

That's frustrating. A completely dead audio system usually points to a few potential causes. Have you tried testing other audio sources, like the auxiliary input if your system has one? Any distortion or weird sounds from any of the speakers before it went silent? That might help narrow down the problem.

I tried the aux input, still nothing. No weird sounds or distortion before it died. It literally just stopped working one day. Could a speaker issue affect the whole system, like maybe a short circuit?

It's less likely to be a simple short circuit taking the whole system down, but a defective bass speaker could prevent any output. It's hard to say for sure without proper diagnostics. Since it's not a simple fix like a fuse and you've already tried basic troubleshooting, you probably need to bring it in for professional evaluation. The repair cost is approximately 280€.

I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was a defective bass speaker. I got it replaced, and everything is working now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
