Peugeot 301 central locking failure

Good day. I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with my 2023 Peugeot 301 diesel. The central locking has completely stopped working. Neither the remote nor the key works; I can no longer lock or unlock the doors. I scanned for errors, and there's an error stored in the memory, pointing to a possible defective cable or plug connection. It’s like the entire locking mechanism has gone silent! Has anyone else faced something similar? The car has 144487 km on it. Could it be a fuse, or is it something more sinister with the car alarm system or door locks?

Hello! I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 301. All of a sudden, the doors wouldn't respond to the remote. Have you checked the fuse box thoroughly? Sometimes, it's just a blown fuse affecting the remote locking system. It's always the first place to check!

Thank you for your suggestion! You mention checking the fuse box thoroughly. Was your issue intermittent, or did it fail completely like mine? Also, if it was the fuse, did it keep blowing repeatedly, or was it a one-time thing? I'm trying to figure out if this is a simple fix or something more complex like a faulty locking mechanism.

In my case it failed completely and constantly, like a light switch that won't turn on. Given you've got an error stored and it's not a simple fuse issue, it's probably best to get it looked at by a workshop. They can properly diagnose the wiring or any faulty components within the locking system.

Understood. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It does sound like my issue is more involved than just a fuse. I will take your advice and schedule an appointment with a workshop to get it properly diagnosed. They quoted around 95€ for a repair, let's hope it's just the connector.
