Thanks for the input. Where exactly should I be looking for this connector? Is there a common spot where corrosion tends to accumulate?

Okay, so it's difficult to say exactly without seeing it, but usually it's behind the door panel, near the latch mechanism. If you're not comfortable disassembling the door, I'd suggest a workshop visit. These car sensors are very finnicky.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. The workshop confirmed it was a defective cable or plug connection of the component, and they fixed it for 95€. Good to know it wasn't a major issue.

Sounds like a pain. Did you check the cable and plug connection of the door sensor? I had a similar thing happen on an older vehicle and it turned out to be a corroded connector in the door. Is it possible the sensor itself is faulty?
