Peugeot 301 knock sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot 301 exhibited a check engine light, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling, with a diagnostic scan revealing a knock sensor error. The issue was suspected to be either a defective cable or plug, or a faulty sensor. After further investigation at a workshop, the problem was identified as a loose connection, which was repaired, resolving the symptoms.

Yes, the error code specifically mentioned the knock sensor. I was wondering if a faulty connection is likely or is the sensor itself probably broken?

In my case, the error was intermittent at first, so it could well be a connection problem. It's hard to say for sure without proper diagnostics. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop, or you might end up replacing a perfectly fine sensor.

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it. I took it to a workshop, and you were right, it was just a loose connection. They fixed the cable for 95€. Now everything seems to be fine again.

Hey! I had similar symptoms on my 301. Check engine light, rough idle... it was a pain. Did the error code specifically point to the knock sensor, or did it give any other related codes?
