Peugeot 301 Overheating
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Peugeot 301 is experiencing overheating issues due to a defective radiator fan, with the check engine light on. The initial suspicion was a defective speed sensor, which was later confirmed as the cause. A suggestion was made to check the thermal switch, but ultimately, the speed sensor was identified and repaired.

Thanks! Where is the thermal switch located, and how do I check if it's working?

On mine, it was near the radiator, but the location can be different. With those symptoms, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop to be safe.

I appreciate the advice. It was the speed sensor, like I thought. The repair cost 250€ Thanks for your help.

I have a 301 too. I had a similar radiator fan problem. Have you checked the thermal switch? It might be the switch, not the sensor.
