Peugeot 301 Transport Mode Active

Hi, I've got a strange issue with my 2022 Peugeot 301 with a gasoline engine. It's showing "transport mode active" on the dash, and I'm getting a general electrical malfunction warning. Also, the navigation system is completely dead. The car has just under 100,000 km on it, so it's fairly new. I've checked the fuses and had a quick look at the battery connections, but everything seems fine. I suspect it could be immobilizer-related or maybe something deep in the car's electronics needs resetting. Anyone else experienced anything similar with their Peugeot? I'm trying to avoid a costly trip to the mechanic if it's something I can resolve myself. Any advice on where to start with a diagnostic check or vehicle setting adjustments would be greatly appreciated. I even tried the key fob reset procedure I found online, but no luck.

Hey there, I had a similar problem with my 301 a while back. "Transport mode active" rings a bell! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. I didn’t have the navigation issue, but the electrical malfunction warning was definitely there. Now that I think about it, it might have something to do with the car's initial setup or a software glitch from the factory. Did it happen right after you got it, or did it pop up later?

Thanks for the reply! It didn't happen immediately after I got it. I've had the car for a while now and it’s been perfectly fine up until now. It just suddenly appeared one morning. I wonder if there’s some kind of reset procedure I can try before resorting to a mechanic. Did you manage to fix yours yourself, or did you have to take it in?

Unfortunately, I had to take mine in. It turned out to be a software issue that needed to be reset by the dealer’s diagnostic tools. They mentioned something about the car not fully exiting transport mode during the pre-delivery inspection. They hooked it up to their system, cleared the error, and it’s been fine ever since. It cost me nothing because it was deemed a warranty issue, but I recall that without the warranty it would have been a rather quick fix.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to the dealer. I was hoping to avoid it, but it seems like it's the only way to properly reset the system. I suspected as much. I'll post the resolution to the thread when it's fixed, in case anyone else runs into the same problem. I appreciate your help!
