Peugeot 307 AC Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 307 diesel is experiencing an air conditioning problem where the system no longer cools or switches on. Possible causes include defective valves within the AC system, refrigerant leaks, or issues with the AC relay and pressure switch. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected by a professional workshop experienced with Peugeot vehicles to accurately diagnose and address the issue, as attempting repairs without expertise could lead to further damage.

Thanks for the reply. Valves, eh? I haven't checked for leaks or the relay. Where exactly are those located, and is it easy to check them myself?

Diagnosing this issue can be tricky, and it’s often multifaceted. Though inspecting for the refrigerant leak and checking the AC relay and pressure switch can offer some insight, the defective valves within the AC system were the root cause in my case. I would suggest you entrust this to a workshop that has experience with these vehicles, as even a minor misstep could cause substantial damage. If the problem is indeed originating from the valves as it did for my car, expect a repair bill in the ballpark of 1000€.

Thanks. Looks like I'll be booking it in at the garage then!

I can relate to your air conditioning issues. I drive a Peugeot 307 as well, and I encountered something similar not too long ago. If I recall correctly, the defect was traced back to individual valves within the AC system. Have you checked for any refrigerant leaks or inspected the AC relay and pressure switch? Also, has there been a noticeable decline in AC efficiency recently?
