Peugeot 307 Active Hood Fault Airbag Light

I've got a 2006 Peugeot 307 (gasoline engine) with around 200k km. I'm getting an "Active hood fault" message and the airbag light is on. The diagnostic tool shows an error related to the active hood system, and the spring actuators seem to have been triggered. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Yep, had the same issue with my 307. Super annoying. Did the airbag light come on at the same time as the hood fault? Because when mine did that it was the crash sensor that was busted.

Interesting. The airbag light and hood fault appeared simultaneously. Where is the crash sensor located exactly? And was it an easy fix?

For me, the light came on simultaneously, too. From what I remember, the sensor is somewhere near the front of the car. Honestly, I'd take it to a workshop to get it checked properly. It's part of the safety system so better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the workshop, and as you suspected, the acceleration sensor was indeed defective. Repair cost me 315€. Appreciate your help!
