Peugeot 307 Anti-Theft Alarm Error

I'm having a nightmare with my 2002 Peugeot 307 diesel. The anti-theft alarm is totally buggered! It keeps throwing an error, and the alarm itself just doesn't work at all. I've checked the fuses, but nothing seems to be blown. Could it be a power failure? Has anyone else experienced this with their 307?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Renault Megane a few years back. Turned out the alarm system was coded to activate the indicators on locking, which was causing the error. Does your hazard light turns on every time you lock your Peugeot?

That's interesting! Now that you mention it, the hazard lights do flash when I lock the car. So, what exactly did you do to fix it?

I never managed to fix it by myself. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They told me the alarm control module needed reprogramming. Best to get it checked out properly.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on. They recoded the alarm system, and it's working perfectly now. Cost me 45€, which isn't too bad. Cheers!
