The blower motor resistor... where exactly is that located and how would I test it?

The resistor is usually found near the blower motor, often in the ducting to help with cooling. As for testing, it requires a multimeter to check for continuity across its terminals. However, considering the error code and mileage, replacing the blower motor is probably the more effective approach. I'd advise taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis and replacement.

Thanks a bunch for the help! I took it to a local workshop, and you were spot on – the blower motor was indeed defective. Cost me 365€ to get it replaced, but at least I have air flow again!

Okay, I understand. The symptoms definitely point towards an issue within the blower motor circuit. Given that there's an error code stored, it's highly likely the blower motor itself has failed, especially with 184855 km on the clock. Have you checked the blower motor resistor? Sometimes that can fail and cause similar symptoms, though the error code leans more towards the motor itself.
