Good question! It's actually both brake lights that are out. Does that change anything? Where did you even start to troubleshoot?

Yep, sounds like the same issue I had. I would suggest going to a workshop for a switch replacement. It's probably the brake switch that's faulty.

Thanks! Turns out it was the brake light switch, exactly as you said. Somehow I managed to fix it myself; the error was user error on my part, and I am very grateful for the tip in the right direction! Cost me nothing!

I had something similar happen in my 307. Was it the tail light on both sides, or just one?
