Peugeot 307 Electrical Errors

Hey, I'm having sporadic errors in my 2001 Peugeot 307 (gasoline engine). Error lamps come on and audio/nav systems fail. Sometimes control units shut down. OBD-II shows stored errors. Could it be a defective cable connection to the BUS system? Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2001 Peugeot 307 is experiencing sporadic electrical errors, including error lamps activating, audio/navigation system failures, and control unit shutdowns. The issue might be related to a defective cable connection to the BUS system. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a corroded connector, particularly noticeable in wet weather, suggesting that professional inspection at a workshop could be an effective solution.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my 307 a while back. Random electrical gremlins, right? Did you notice if it happened more often in wet weather?

Thanks. I haven't really checked if it's wet weather related, but it's possible. Can you tell me more about what happened to you and what you tried?

Yeah, for me it was definitely worse when it rained. Turned out to be a corroded connector somewhere. Honestly, I just took it to a workshop. They traced it down and fixed it pretty quickly. Saved me a ton of headache.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I should probably just take it to a workshop. Seems better than trying to figure this out myself.
