Peugeot 307 Engine Stalling

Hi, I have a 2008 Peugeot 307 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the check engine light came on, and the engine stalls at idle sometimes. I suspect it might be the tank ventilation valve since I read that clogged hoses could be the reason. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my 307. The engine light and stalling sounds familiar. Was it throwing any specific codes related to the purge valve or pressure sensor? It could be related to the EVAP system.

Thanks for your reply! I didn't check the codes myself, to be honest. Where exactly should I look for the purge valve, and are there any signs of clogging I could easily spot?

I wouldn't poke around too much without knowing the specific fault code. When mine did that, I brought it to a workshop; they sorted it out quickly. It could be a faulty valve or just a clogged hose. Best to get it diagnosed properly to avoid messing with the emission system.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right. It was the tank ventilation valve. They replaced it and cleaned the hoses. Cost me 175€, but the engine light is gone, and it idles smoothly now.
