Peugeot 307 Exhaust Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a malfunctioning exhaust flap in a 2006 Peugeot 307, leading to a louder exhaust and noisy engine on cold starts. The issue is suspected to be a defective exhaust flap actuator. A suggested solution is to have a workshop inspect and possibly replace the actuator, as it is likely the root cause of the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. Could you tell me more about the wiring? Where should I look, and what am I looking for? I'm not great with auto electrics.

Honestly, I wouldn't poke around too much if you're not confident. It's probably just the actuator motor gone bad. Just go to a workshop and have them take a look. It cost me around 190€ to fix.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop. Thanks again for sharing your experience; it's been helpful.

I had something similar with my Peugeot 307. Louder exhaust, especially when the engine was cold. I suspect it's the flap actuator. Check the wiring, but it's probably the actuator itself.
